Guided visit to the Royal Monastery of Santa Maria de Vallbona

The monastery of Santa Maria de Vallbona is the most important house of Cistercian nuns in Catalonia and the life of the community has continued unbroken for eight and a half centuries. Visitors can see the main rooms of the monastery, and most notably the church and the cloister.

 

Activities for the general public and also for groups with prior reservation made by calling 973 330 266.

All visits are guided

Visiting times:
Weekdays: 10.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. and 4.30 to 6.45 p.m.
Public holidays: 12 noon to 1.30 p.m. and 4.30 to 6.45 p.m.
Mondays closed
In winter (November to February inclusive) the monastery closes for visits at 6 p.m.
