To complement the exhibition Nova Cançó: the voice of the Catalan people, the Museu d’Història de Catalunya is staging this cycle of recitals on the roof by singers originally involved in the Nova Cançó as well as by new figures who are the heirs of the movement. The recitals on the roof, which will take place every Thursday in July and August and on 2 and 10 September, at 10 p.m., will be given by such classic singer-songwriters as Jaume Sisa, Quico Pi de la Serra, Toti Soler, Joan Isaac, Francesc Burrull and the Grup de Folk, as well as by new talent such as Roger Mas, Sanjosex, Mazoni, Anna Roig i l’Ombre de Ton Chien and Miquela Lladó. The cycle is made up of a total of eleven concerts with an admission charge of €4.00. Advance reservations are required, from 15 June, by telephone on 93 552 61 82 (Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) or by e-mail to concertsestiu.mhc@gencat.cat.

Admission to the concerts is limited by the space available on the roof terrace of the Museu d’Història de Catalunya. Each concert ticket is also valid for entry to the exhibition the same day. On concert days the exhibition’s opening times will be extended by three hours, that is, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The cycle of recitals of Nova Cançó on the roof terrace is organised by the Museu d’Història de Catalunya and the Institut Català de les Indústries Culturals, both of which are attached to the Catalan Ministry of Culture and the Media.
